Ahmedabad : Even as voting is underway for the second and last phase of Gujarat Assembly elections in which 1.98 crore voters will decide the fate of 820 candidates including Chief Minister Narendra Modi, who is contesting from Maninagar, a confident Modi cast his ballot in Ranip.
Modi was welcomed by thousands of people at the polling booth who were waiting only to catch a glimpse of the Chief Minister.
Following the impressive 70.75 per cent voting for the 87 seats in the first phase on December 13, today’s polling has attained much more significance. Counting of votes are scheduled for 20 December.
