Coast guards start rescue operations after distress call

Pipav (Gujarat) : Coast Guards were pressed in action off Gujarat coast on Saturday to rescue people from a ship that sent out distress call.

The Coast Guard of Western region are conducting the operations on the Gulf of Khabat, near here, reports said.

Twenty-six people out of total 32 on board have been rescued so far.

Two helicopters have been pressed into action and an interceptor boat also sent, the reports added.
