Three of family die in car-train collision in Haryana

Rohtak (Haryana)  : At least three members of a family were killed Tuesday when their car collided with a train at a railway crossing near this Haryana town, police said.

A two-and-a-half-year-old girl was critically injured in the accident in Jasiya village, about 75 km from Delhi.

Police identified the deceased as Sushma, 50, her son Yatish Chopra, 22, and Meena, 28. All three belonged to Karnal town.

Witnesses told police that the train dragged the car for some distance before stopping. Villagers rushed to help the victims.
