Shimla  :  Two earthquakes of light intensity hit Himachal Pradesh for the second consecutive day Wednesday, triggering panic among people. However, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.

“Tremors measuring 3.8 on the Richter scale were felt for some seconds at 10.04 a.m. Another quake of 3.6 magnitude was recorded at 4.19 p.m.,” Meteorological Office director Manmohan Singh told IANS.

He said the epicentre of both the quakes, like Tuesday, was at the border of Chamba and Lahaul and Spiti districts, bordering Jammu and Kashmir.

Meteorological officials said the tremors were felt more in Kangra and Chamba districts.

Two quakes of light intensity hit the hill state Tuesday.
