Unidentified gunmen killed a policeman in broad day light in apple town Sopore in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday.
According to reports, the gunmen suddenly appeared before a police party at Sopore and shot dead constable Muhammad Shafi Dar.
He was a resident of Lati Shat, Sopore.
Confirming his death, a police officer told IBNS that unknown gunmen fired upon Dar from a close range near Tujjar Sharief bus stand Tuesday morning. He was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
The officer said manhunt has been launched to nab the assailants.
