A clash between an anti-India group of protesters and security forces was reported from Baramulla in North Kashmir after the Friday prayer.
Police sources said a number of youths assembled at the main market of Baramulla and raised slogons against the state government and security forces and pelted stones on the troopers.
However, policemen swung into action and resorted to teargas shelling to disperse the protesters.
They retaliated with stones, but the situation was brought under control.
