Separatist leader Yasin Malik on hunger strike

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, along with his other supporters, sat on a hunger strike at Maisuma, Srinagar to protest alleged intimidation and harassment of Kashmiri youths.

He was joined by Democratic Freedom Party Chairman Shabir Ahmed Shah, separatist leaders Noor Mohammad Kalwal, Showket Bakhshi and Bashir Ahmed Bhat.

Liberation Front Chairman Malik is observing hunger strike to protest against what he called the “random arrests of youth, including students”, and to express solidarity with the detainees languishing in different jails of J&K.
