Six killed in house collapse incidents in Jammu

Jammu :  At least six people were killed Saturday in incidents of house collapse across Jammu region due to heavy rains, officials said.

Over half a dozen houses in Kathua and mountainous Udhampur district were reported to have collapsed as heavy rains lashed the Jammu region.

Three people were killed in Kathua district and as many in mountainous Udhampur district, an official said.

“The officials are gathering information from across the region of any other losses due to heavy rains since yesterday (Friday),” Divisional Commissioner Pradeep Gupta said.
