Cauvery Dispute: Yeddyurappa demands PM to intervene (With Video)

Bangalore (ANI): Former Karnataka Chief Minister, BS Yeddyurappa today appealed to Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh to intervene over the ongoing protests against sharing of water of River Cauvery with neighbouring Tamil Nadu.

Yeddyurappa and his loyalists staged a sit-in protest in Bangalore wherein they shouted slogans against the Supreme Court verdict ordering Karnataka to release water to Tamil Nadu, a subject that has been a bone of contention for the two states since many years. Yeddyurappa asserted that the Cauvery river issue was a state cause and urged all political parties to cooperate.
