Karnataka Assembly disrupted yet again

Bangalore : Proceedings in the state Assembly had to be adjourned for the second day in a row as the Opposition continued their noisy protests on Tuesday.

Congress and Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) members marched into the well of the House yet again, objecting against the election of the deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and shouting slogans against the ruling government for corruption.

They said the protests were not directed towards the appointment of Yogish Bhat as the deputy Speaker but were against the election procedure which was carried out in the absence of a number of MLAs.

The Assembly Session on Monday too had to be called off after the Opposition started clamouring for not being allowed to discuss corruption charges against Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa.
