Karnataka CM BS Yeddyurappa?s kins return land

Kins of Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa, who was allegedly allotted government land wrongfully, on Friday surrendered their plots in the city.

Reports said that both Yeddyurappa?s son and daughter, as well as two other relatives, returned their plots to the authorities.

BY Raghavendra, the chief minister?s son and himself a BJP MP, sent a letter to the Bangalore Development Authority, surrendering 50×80 feet plot allotted to him in RMV Extension.

Umadevi, Yeddyurappa?s daughter, also returned the two acres of industrial land allotted to her near Harohalli by the Karnataka Industrial Development Board.

Two other relatives of the chief minister also surrendered their land to the BDA.

Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) top brass is likely to take a decision on Yeddyurappa continuing as the chief minister in the southern state.

Earlier, on Thursday, the state Cabinet approved a judicial probe into the land allotment over the last 10 years.

Yeddyurappa has continued claiming innocence and said he had compiled with rules and procedures set and followed by previous regimes.

He has also dismissed reports of quitting, stating that the BJP high command was happy with him.
