Vijay Mallya’s UB Group has deal with Dhoni

Bangalore : Mahendra Singh Dhoni is cricket king of good time for team, even in the biggest ever deal with any Indian sportsperson, liquor baron Vijay Mallya’s UB Group has singed an agreement with Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni worth nearly Rs 25 crore for three years.

Sources having knowledge on the deal said that Dhoni has agreed for a 3-year endorsement deal with the UB Group for Rs 8 crore a year, effective from early 2011, just a month before the ICC World Cup.

Dhoni’s most expensive deal was with Reebok for close to Rs 29-30 crore for a 5-year period, before the UB deal.

India is one of the co-hosting along with Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to corporates are scrambling to associate with the event as well as top Indian cricketers to make the most of the cricket craze of the stage World Cup beginning Feb, 2001 in India.

Besides Dhoni, there will also be other cricketers in the UB Group chart in the business deal to create market in cricket frenzy nations, it is learnt.

Dhoni is expected to be featured with McDowell?s soda, he had earned $10 million last year.
