Forest officials rescue six-year-old elephant in kerala
Ernakulam : : Forest officials rescued a six-year-old elephant which fell into a well in Kerala.
The incident was reported in Ernakulam district’s Kuttampuzha village where authorities took over five hours to pull out the elephant from the unused well.

The forest officials dug into the well to make a passage for the elephant to move out. Villagers said that an elephant herd was spotted in the area the previous night and suspected the baby elephant to be a part of it.
They also complained about wild animals frequently straying into the village, destroying their farm land, and sometimes even harming villagers.
The elephant suffered minor injuries in the rescue operation.
