The Madhya Pradesh police have arrested two persons for their suspect betting business in relation to the World Cup cricket.
Police, on a specific information, nabbed the duo on Monday, a day after India and England tied at 338 in their Group B play at Bangalore on Sunday night.
The two were arrested on charges of having illicit trade worth several crore of rupees in India-England match.
In India, though betting is prohibited by laws, many people are allegedly involved in the illicit trading.
Police said they arrested the two after raiding a home at Ramchandra Nagar and caught Ashish Maheshwari and Kamal Maheshwari while they were accepting money on bets.
Police also seized television sets and cell phones, which were being used for trade.
