MP professor roughed up on molestation charges

Bhopal : BJP youth wing activists on Wednesday allegedly roughed up a government college professor on charges of molestation at Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.

Professor Ashok Choudhary was dragged out of a class-room of the Government College, Khandwa, by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) activists ? the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), NDTV reports said.

The ABVP workers charged the professor of molesting female students, of which complaints were filed to the college principal PC Shastri ? which Shastri has denied.

The activists smeared black paint on the professor?s face and thrashed him.

As Choudhary tried to take shelter in the principal?s office, the activists barged him and hit him repeatedly.

The college has filed a police complaint regarding the incident, though no mention of ABVP activists? involvement has been made in the complaint, the reports said.
