Fresh CBI raid at Adarsh housing office
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday raided the Adarsh Society office here to examine related documents of allotment of flats, meant for Kargil heroes and their depandants.
Official sources said the CBI sleuths raided the office at dawn and continued to search the offices.
The raid comes a day after the CBI searched premises of four accused, including chief promoters RC Thakur and Kanhaiyalal Gidwani, who is a former Congress Member of Legislative Council (MLC).
The two others, whose residences were under raid were former Major-General MM Wanchoo, who is president of the society, and Ramanand Tiwari, former principal secretary of Urban Development Department.
