Suspected gas leak in central Mumbai

A suspected gas leak was reported on Saturday from Dadar, Wadala and Matunga in central Mumbai.

A foul odour was reported in the morning hours and many residents also complained of suffocation.

Fire engines were rushed to the area and authorities have launched investigations to ascertain the source of the smell.

Industries located in the nearby area are suspected to be the source of the smell.
