Ex- Lt Col Tejinder Singh arrested for molesting girl

Pune : A retired Lieutenant Colonel, accused of molesting a minor girl, has been arrested, police said on Monday.

Tejinder Singh, the former military officer, who owns a tuition institute in Kondhva area, has been taken into the police custody on Sunday night following a specific complaint against him of fondling with the girl.

The arrest was made after the parents of the 17-year-old-girl alleged with the local police that Singh had misbehaved with their daughter, who attended tuition class, police added.

The parents came to know when the girl refused to attend tuition for maths examination, police said.

48-year-old Singh has been charged under section 354 of IPC (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty).
