Guwahati : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has urged the Indian voters to trust the party once more for a better life and freedom for the cycle of price rise and scams.
“You have trusted them for the last seven years. You have seen Mr Vajpayee’s government. Trust us once more, we will deliver for a better life for you,” BJP general secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad told NDTV on the sidelines of the two-day party national executive meet here.
Highlighting the positioning of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government vis-a-vis the ruling United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the centre, Prasad said under an economist prime minister the country is suffering from price rise and corruption galore.
“Corruption is the signature tune of UPA-II, and if these lakhs of crores would have been saved in so many scams, how many roads would have been built, how many hospitals would have been built?” he asked.
Earlier on Saturday, slamming the UPA-II) government on corruption charges, BJP national president Nitin Gadkari maintained that India is passing through a ?crisis of leadership?.
?The nation is facing one of the severest crisis of leadership and people of India are looking towards the BJP to provide leadership that will translate their aspirations into reality,? he said.
