Maoist shot dead in Orissa
Bhubaneswar : A Maoist was killed in an encounter with the security forces in Orissa’s Koraput district, police said on Friday.
The rebel came under firing during a search operation at Bijaghati under Narayanpatna area, a bastion of the outlaws, police said.
The encounter took place after the rebel refused to give up arms and fired at the security forces.
A rifle was recovered from the slain Maoist, who was deserted by other outlaws taking advantage of forested area.
