Chennai/New Delhi : Actor-director Kamal Haasan today stated that he has deferred the decision of fighting the ban on his film ‘Vishwaroopam’ in the Supreme Court.
The actor before flying to Mumbai for the release of the Hindi version of his 95-crore thriller said that he is still hurt but is calm and hopes for a positive outcome.
Meanwhile, against the backdrop of the controversy surrounding the film, Information and Broadcasting minister Manish Tewari today wrote on twitter that there is a need to “revisit” the Cinematograph Act to ensure decisions of the Censor Board are implemented.
“Time-cinematographic act revisited to ensure implementational integrity (of) certification decisions, otherwise each state would be its own censor (board),” he wrote.
