Rameswaram : About seven Indians, while fishing near Katchativu island, were allegedly attacked by the Sri Lankan naval personnel early on Tuesday.
Local tv channels reported quoting witnesses as saying the Sri Lankan Navy had attacked the fishermen at a place between Dhanushkodi and Katchativu island. The Indians were inside their territory.
The injured fishermen were taken to Ramanathapuram Government hospital.
