With increasing speculation about mid-term polls, Uttar Pradesh chief minister-designate Akhilesh Yadav Monday welcomed the debate on a non-Congress, non-Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) third front.
“If the country is debating on a third front, then it’s a good beginning,” he told reporters here.
Asked his priorities, Akhilesh, who will be sworn-in March 15, said: “As far as I am concerned, my focus is on implementing the party’s election manifesto in the state and ensuring development.”
