Samajwadi MLA?s son shoots one dead
Bareilly : Son of a Samajwadi Party (SP) MLA from Uttar Pradesh has been arrested for allegedly shooting one person dead late Wednesday night, the police said on Thursday.
A drunken Atul Gangwar and his friends were driving through a market here, when his motorcycle broke down after hitting another motorbike near Chowki crossing here.
He rushed to the nearby Hero Honda showroom and asked the staff to repair the vehicle.
In an act of brazenness, he started firing indiscriminately inside the showroom, and then outside (in the market) after the staff told him that the store is closed for the day, said police.
?Three people were seriously injured. One of them succumbed to his injuries,? said the police.
A Nagar Nigan employee Charan Singh, showroom cashier Akhilesh Kumar and manager Rajeev Sharma received serious bullet injuries.
Later, Singh succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital.
?Atul has been arrested. We also seized his licenced rifle,? said the police.
Atul is the son of Bhagwat Saran Gangwar, a MLA from Nawabganj Assembly.
