Durgapur : Four passengers were killed and more than 40 wounded when a private bus plunged into a water body in West Bengal’s Burdwan district on Tuesday, police said.
The accident happened at Debpur under Bhatar Police Station when the driver of the Guskara-bound bus lost control over the wheels and drove it into a roadside pond killing four passengers on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Burdwan Medical College and Hospital where the condition of five was stated to be critical.
