Kolkata : At least five persons were killed and 28 wounded when their bus hit a parked truck at Suhidi More on National Highway 2 in West Bengal’s Asansol town in Burdwan district on Friday, police said.
They said four persons died instantly when the Burdwan-bound private bus hit the stone-laden truck on the highway.
Another person died after being admitted to the Asansol sub-divisional hospital.
Majority of the injured were also admitted to the sub-divisional hospital and some to the primary health centres and nursing homes.
