Kolkata : Three prisoners, including a murder convict, escaped from the city’s Alipore Central Correctional Home Friday, a West Bengal minister said.
The two undertrials are accused of murder and dacoity while the third is a murder convict.
“Three prisoners – two undertrials and a convict – escaped from the correctional home by scaling a wall early Friday. We have ordered a probe into this. Police are on the lookout and we hope to apprehend them soon,” Correctional Administration Minister Haider Aziz Safwi said.
