Aarushi case: Talwars denied access to more documents
Ghaziabad : A special CBI court on Friday refused to allow Rajesh Talwar access to documents submitted by the CBI in his daughter Aarushi?s murder case.
Hearing a petition moved by Rajesh Talwar, the CBI court said it cannot allow him access to any documents than already given to him.
The next date of hearing in the case has been fixed on January 25.
The matter saw heated arguments between CBI counsel RK Saini and the advocate of the Talwars, Satish Tamta.
?These (documents) cannot be supplied. Uttar Pradesh police arrested him and hence technically or legally he is an accused till the court discharges or acquits him,? the CBI counsel said.
Tamta, objecting to Rajesh being called an accused, said, ?It is not right to call my client an accused at this stage. The court had observed last time that nobody is an accused at this stage. We are here in the capacity of first informant. To say that they have given wrong information is incorrect. We are not demanding copies of the case diary.?
Fourteen-year-old Aarushi was found murdered, with her throat slit, at the Talwar?s residence in Noida on the morning of May 16, 2008. The body of Hemraj, the Talwars? help, was found on the terrace the next day.
