Army hunt on to track Kashmir militants
An operation to flush out militants supposedly hiding in Khaibagh, Bangus of Handwara town near Line of Control has been launched by the Army deployed in the area.
According to reports, besides army, RR Personnel have laid a siege of the area and search is going on to trace the militants present there.
Sources said that Army had inputs that 10 to 20 militants have managed to sneak from across the border and foot prints on snow corroborated the assumption.
While Superintendent of Police Handwara confirmed about the search operation, he added that they are not certain that the foot prints are of militants.
“Search operation is going on. Foot prints on snow suggests that some people had been present in the area. We are trying to sort things out,” SP Handwara, Chowdry Aslam, told IBNS.
