BCCI to pick India squad for World Cup 2011
There is not much surprises in store on Saturday when the Indian cricket board is expected to pick up 30 probables for International Cricket Council’s World Cup 2011, to be hosted jointly by India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India’s five-member selection committee after a formal meeting will announce 30 names.
Of them only 15 will make to the Indian squad finally in the World Cup in Feb-March, 2011.
Besides the regular seniors, many promising youths are expected to be made in the primary list.
India are rated among the favourites to win the World Cup. But many feel the situation might change in few weeks time after all results emerge in the current India- South Africa Tests in that country.
India won the World Cup in 1983.
