BSP MLA gets lifer in murder case
A Lucknow court on Friday sentenced Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA Shekhar Tiwari and nine others to life imprisonment for murdering a Public Works Department (PWD) engineer in 2008

The trial court gave lifer to Tiwari, his wife Vibha, Vinay Tiwari, Rambabu aka Putti, Yogendra Dohre aka Bhatia, Manoj Awasthi, Devendra Rajput, Santosh Tiwari, Gajraj Singh, former Dibiyapur police station officer Hoshiyar Singh.

Tiwari and his henchmen lynched and then killed Manoj Kumar Gupta by giving him electric shocks in Auraiya town on December 24, 2008, after the PWD executive engineer refused to pay them money for ?party development fund?.

Gupta?s body was later dumped outside the Dibiyapur police station, where Hoshiyar Singh tried to shield Tiwari.
