CBI begins probing IPS officer’s killing
The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case in connection with the killing of Indian Police Service officer Narendra Kumar allegedly by the stone quarrying mafia in Madhya Pradesh’s Morena district.
An eight-member team Thursday reached the Bamore area of Morena and went to the spot to carry out the probe.
Narender Kumar was killed on Holi March 8 while trying to intercept a tractor-trolley carrying illegally mined stones.
The CBI took up the investigation of FIR (no. 49/2012) dated March 8 registered earlier at Banmore police station and sent a team, including CFSL officials, to the place of occurrence.
