Curfew was lifted from Srinagar and parts of the Valley on Monday, said Jammu & Kashmir Police.
?Preceding night passed off peacefully. Situation across Valley continues to remain normal and under control. There have been no reports of any untoward incident reported from any where,? said the state police in a statement.
?Meanwhile, authorities today (Monday) lifted the curfew restrictions from Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Awantipora, Sopore, Handwara and Bandipora. However, restrictions were only imposed in Delina, Palhalan, Kupwara town, Trehgam and Kralpora areas of district Baramulla and Kupwara respectively,? it added.
However, in curfew bound areas of Kupwara, the restriction was later relaxed from 8 am onwards.
At least 108 people were killed in anti-India protests led by the separatists in Kashmir since June 11, prompting the Centre to initiate talks with the various groups in the state, propose greater autonomy and depute an all-party delegation to the Valley.
