Curfew relaxed as Srinagar situation improves

Srinagar : Curfew was relaxed in entire town and the outskirts of Srinagar from 12 am on Saturday allowing the common people to collect rations and essentials as the overall situation improved in the Valley.

Local administrative officials and police said the decision on relaxing the prohibitory orders for down town and Shehar-e-Khas (SeK) would be taken separately.

Curfew was relaxed until further orders in the areas under jurisdiction of all police stations in uptown, civil lines, Nishat, Shalimar, Qamarwai and Parimpora.

Curfew was also relaxed at few places of north Kashmir as the Srinagar-Jammu and Srinagar-Uri national highways remained open.

It was relaxed from 10 am to 1 pm In Kupwara town, from 10 30 am till further orders in Trehgam and Kralpora while in Handwara, Kulangam and Chotipora, the curfew restrictions had been relaxed from 10 am till further orders.
