World No.3 Gagan Narang bagged the gold in the men?s 10 metre air rifle event by breaking his world record at the Commonwealth Games here Wednesday.
Narang shot a perfect 600 in the qualifying, equalling his world record, and 103.6 in the final for a total of 703.6. The silver went to Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra, who shot a total of 698 (595 qualifying, 103 final).
England?s James Huckle won the bronze with a total of 693.5 (591 qualifying, 102.5 final).
Narang broke his own world record (703.5), which he shot during the World Cup finals two years back.
Narang also broke the Commonwealth Games record also set by him four years back in Melbourne.
