Deccan decide to field, Sachin to play

Deccan Chargers have won the toss and elected to field first in their home match against Mumbai Indians on Sunday.

Sachin Tendulkar will play for the Mumbai outfit on Sunday, although it was speculated earlier that the ‘Master Blaster’ will stay away from the match as he was deeply shocked by the death of godman Sathya Sai Baba.

Tendulkar, who turned 38 on Sunday, is so grieved that he has hung a ‘Do not Disturb’ sign in front of his hotel door in Hyderabad where he, along with his team Mumbai Indians, are currently touring to play against Deccan Chargers on Sunday, media report said.

It is said that a disheartened Tendulkar, who is an ardent follower of Sathya Sai Baba, has decided to not to celebrate his birthday in a flamboyant manner this year.
