Dhumal refutes ?clean chit to Karmapa’s reports

Tibetan religious leader Ogyen Trinley Dorji has not been given any clean chit in the foreign currency recovery case from his transit home near here, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister PK Dhumal said on Saturday.

??We can’t give him (the Karmapa) a clean chit as probe by central agencies is still on…Karmapa has neither been given a clean chit nor held guilty,? Dhumal told reporters, reacting to an apparent comment by state Chief Secretary Rajwant Sandhu on Friday that the Karmapa had no links with the money.

?Over Rs 7.5 crore, including foreign currency, was seized from the Karmapa?s transit home at Sidhbari near here last month. The Enforcement Directorate is investigating the case and has also questioned the Karmapa, besides arresting several people in this connection.
