Explosion kills 5 in Ooty factory

At least 5 people were killed and two others were injured in an explosion at Cordite Factory near Ooty on Thursday.

According to reports, an acid tank explosion killed five workers of the sulphuric acid plant at Aruvankadu near Ooty.

Over 32 workers were trapped inside the factory after the explosion.

However, police said all of them have been rescued and shifted to safe places.
