For state stalemate, J&K BJP leaders to meet party leaders
Jammu: In New Delhi Senior BJP leaders from Jammu and Kashmir will meet the party high command to discuss the political situation in the state after PDP president Mehbooba Mufti sought assurances on the agenda of alliance with the BJP.
“Former deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh, state BJP president Satpal Sharma and Lok Sabha member Jugal Kishore will go and meet the central party leadership in Delhi today (Monday) to discuss the political deadlock in Jammu and Kashmir,” BJP sources told IANS here.
They also said the Bharatiya Janata Party leaders will call on Governor N.N. Vohra on Tuesday to apprise him of the party’s stand on the new government’s formation in the state.
The confusion over government formation got confounded when Mehbooba Mufti categorically said on Sunday that she needed assurances on time-bound implementation of the agenda of alliance between the PDP and the BJP.
Meanwhile, Governor N.N. Vohra has asked Mehbooba Mufti to call on him at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday to discuss the political stalemate in the state.
