How can India qualify for T20 World Cup Semifinal?

After losing matches against Pakistan and New Zealand, India has a very slim chance to qualify for Semi-Final. Now, the Indian team has to depend on the other team’s result.

Let’s assume, Pakistan will be able to win against Scotland and Namibia so Pakistan will qualify for sure.

For 2nd Spot, it could be Afghanistan, New Zealand and India.

If Afghanistan wins against New Zealand then Afghanistan will be qualified with minimum 6 points in hand.

To qualify for World Cup, India has to win remaining three matches with big margin for better NRR and then it needs to depend on other team’s performance. India’s remaining matches are against Afghanistan, Scotland and Namibia.

If New Zealand can beat Afghanistan in tight match than, New Zealand will tie with Afghanistan for 4 points. In this case, If New Zealand loses against either Scotland or Namibia then India team will have chance to qualify for Semi Final based on Net Run Rates.
