India must be ready for Ireland: Sourav Ganguly

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly says India must be ready and up for the side?s game against Ireland on 6 March in Bengaluru.

?India are the better side when it comes to the two, but they must be ready and up for the challenge that Ireland will provide them with,? says Ganguly on this week?s ICC Cricket World Radio Show.

?Ireland has some outstanding players, chasing down England?s target with ease and Kevin O?Brien giving an outstanding performance so India will have to be up and ready for it.

?India will have the chance to review their bowling attack ? as to whether they go with three fast bowlers or continue with two spinners and two seamers, which I don?t think is the way forward. They need three fast bowlers and then have someone like Yusuf Pathan bowling his ten overs,? he adds.

Joining Ganguly on this week?s show, commentator Robin Jackman looks back on South Africa?s comprehensive defeat of Netherlands.

?South Africa should be happy with this result against Netherlands, despite it not being a challenge, the net run rate will be good for them.

?They went in with an extra batter, which I think they may well do against England. No team wants to lose a game, so I expect South Africa will go with a similar combination.

?I don?t know what they?ll do when it comes to the bowling attack in Chennai. It will depend on the pitch. Imran Tahir looks to have cemented a place so it may well be whether Robin Peterson comes out for Johan Botha,? says Jackman.

Finally, Sri Lanka?s Angelo Mathews talks about the ICC?s partnership with Room to Read in a bid to promote literacy and access to books.

?This partnership is about getting kids to read, about improving literacy and making sure kids are getting access to books and read as much as you can to gain knowledge,? he says.
