Mohali : India beat England by five wickets in the fourth One-Day International (ODI) here at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium Wednesday.
Rohit, asked to open in his first game of the series, struck a sublime 83 before Raina (89 not out) got the team past England’s 257 for seven in 47.3 overs with five wickets to spare at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium here.
Put in to bat, England made 257/7 in the 50 overs, which India chased down in 47.3 overs.
Suresh Raina top scored with an unbeaten 89 off 79 balls.
Ravindra Jadeja was the best of the Indian bowlers clinching three wickets for 39 runs in his allotted 10 overs.
