Ind vs Pak 3rd ODI : India won by 10 runs
Delhi : India won 3rd ODI by 10 runs against Pakistan at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium in Delhi today on 6th January 2013.
Pakistan were needed just 168 runs to win from 50 Overs for a 3-0 cleansweep but India’s disciplined bowling restricted Pakistan to just 157 runs in 48.5 Overs,
A stunning performance by the bowlers backed by excellent fielding helped India defend a small total of 167 as Pakistan were bowled out for 157 with seven balls to spare in biting cold conditions.
Ishant Sharma was the pick of the Indian bowlers bagging 3/36 while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and spinner Ravichandran Ashwin bagged two wickets each. Pacer Shami Ahmed had an impressive debut picking 1/23.
Ahmed set the tone with a fine first spell of 5-3-12-0 while Kumar picked up the wickets of Kamran Akmal (0) and Younis Khan (6) from the other end.
In first inning, no Indian batsman were able to make good partnership against Pakistan Bowlers. India’s skipper Dhoni (36) were top-scored for India while Raina (31), Jadeja (27) and Yuvraj (23) have shown some hope for India to give competitive taget but failed to do so.
From Pakistan side, Saeed Ajaml has taken 5 wickets in 24 runs.
India has won toss and choose to bat first against.
India has made two changes in team. Sehwag has been replaced by Rahane while Shami Ahmed has done debut today by replacing Askhok Dinda.
Pakistan has already seal the series by 2-0 and will try to win this match for whitewash while India will try to win at least one match in 3 ODI series against Pakistan.
In last few matches, India’s batsman were struggling to established good partnerships. India has to come back with their confidence to win this match before their series against England starting on 11th January.
