IPL: Sachin, Rayudu give MI easy victory against RCB
Riding on the brilliant knocks by both Sachin Tendulkar and A Rayudu, Mumbai Indians defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by nine wickets at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday night.
‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar remained unbeaten at 55 runs with his bat while he was given good companionship by young Rayudu (63*) at the other end as both ensured their side a victory in the cash rich Indian Premiere League (IPL).
Rayudu scored his 63 runs in just 50 deliveries, hitting nine boundaries in his innings.
Mumbai Indians reached the score of 143 runs in 18.3 overs with nine wickets in hand.
Earlier RCB had reached a score of 140 for the loss of four wickets in their quota of 20 overs.
T. Dilshan remained the top scorer of the RCB batsmen as he remained unbeaten at 59 runs.
Pollard and Malinga picked up two wickets each for Mumbai Indians.
However, the Royal Challengers Bangalore bowlers looked absolutely out of tune with their key bowler Zaheer Khan giving away 36 runs in his four overs.
Mumbai Indians scored 143 runs for the loss of one wicket of Jacobs (22) in the match.
