Jagan Mohan Reddy to recommence Odarpu yatra

Hyderabad : Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of later Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, is expected to resume the ?Odarpu Yatra? in the Vishakapatnam district of Andhra Pradesh on Monday, media reports said.

During his yatra, Jagan is expected to “console” nearly eighteen families whose members died out of shock of the death of his father, reports said.

He will also unveil nearly 100 statues of his father during this yatra, reports said.

Reddy left Congres and also resigned from the Kadapa Lok Sabha seat, charging the party with showing insensitive towards his father?s legacy.

This is Jagan?s first ?yatra? after resignation.

Earlier, in December, he had launched a 48-hour fast demanding better relief package for farmers who suffered heavy crop loss due to rains recently.

He is also expected to float a political party of his own in the coming days.

“My aim is to fight the 2014 Assembly polls in the state. I want to do unfinished job of my father and a political party of that doctrine could achieve that,” he had said earlier.
