Kargil town freezes with minus 15 degree Celsius

Srinagar:The Kargil town of Jammu and Kashmir was recorded as the lowest night temperature with minus 15 degree Celsius, the Met Office said.

According to the weather office, the minimum temperature was minus 0.7 here, minus 2.4 in Pahalgam, minus 5.6 in Gulmarg, minus 13.3 in Leh town and minus 15.0 in Kargil town of Ladakh region.

In the Jammu region, the minimum temperature was 8.3 in Jammu city, 10.0 in Mata Vaishno Devi base camp town of Katra, 5.3 in Batote, 3.2 in Bannihal, 2.6 degrees Celsius in Bhaderwah and 5.6 in Udhampur town.

The weather office has a forecast cloudy, but dry weather till Sunday.
