Kings XI blown away by Gayle storm

A stormy century by Jamaican Chris Gayle gave the Royal Challengers Bangalore a massive 85-run win over Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium here on Friday.

Gayle made a 49-ball 107, his second century this season as Royal Challengers made a huge 205 for six in 20 overs.

It was an all-round performance by Gayle as he also finished with figures of three for 21 and along with Sreenath Aravind (4/14) restricted the Kings XI team to 120 for nine from 20 overs.

The Kings XI were poor with the bat and never got any partnership going and they didn’t do much to catch up with the net run rate.

Kings XI were off to a terrible start as they lost early wickets in pursuit of 206 runs. Ryan McLaren top-scored with 28 for Kings XI.
