Nagpur Test: India dominate Day One
Indian bowlers dominated the first day of the final third Test match between India and New Zealand as the Kiwis stand at 148 for the loss of 7 wickets at stumps here on Saturday.
Apart from Jesse Ryder who scored a fighting 59, before loosing his wicket to Singh, all the New Zealand batsmen failed with the bat.
Indian bowlers began to dominate the game right from the morning when the Kiwi openers were dismissed in quick succession by pacer Sreesanth.
Tim McIntosh (4) and Martin Guptill (6) failed to provide the New Zealand openers the much needed start.
Brendon McCullum (34*) and Tim Southee (7*) are at the crease and will proceed the innings on Sunday morning.
In the mean time the Indian bowlers maintained a good length and line in this Test match.
All the bowlers, Sreesanth, Sharma, P. Ojha and Harbhajan Singh successfully picked up the Kiwi wickets.
Sreesanth, Ojha and Sharma pulled up 2 wickets each, while Singh took the crucial wicket of Ryder in the match.
Earlier, in the morning, the start of the match was delayed due to rain.
Both the teams will aim at winning the Nagpur Test and clinch the series.
The first two Test matches of the series were drawn.
