PM’s rally hit by audio failure in Goa
Prime minister Manmohan Singh suffered acute embarrasment after the failure of the public address system at an election rally at Sanquelim, 40 kms from state capital Panaji.
The public address system failed just after Singh had risen to speak and had introduced other speakers on the dais.
Thousands of people left the site of the election meeting at Sanquelim, leaving the prime minister and his entourage befuddled.
The system failure lasted for nearly 20 minutes.
Chief minister Digambar Kamat, Speaker Pratapsing Rane, senior NCP leader Praful Patel were present at the venue.
