Rajasthan Royals beat Kochi Tuskers by 8 Wickets

In a completely one sided match, Rajasthan Royals (RR) defeated Kochi Tuskers Kerala (KTK) by eight wickets and 35 balls to spare in a league level match of the popular Indian Premiere League (IPL) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, here on Sunday night.

Batting first, Kochi Tuskers Kerala made only 109 runs for the loss of all wickets in their quota of 20 overs.

RR reached the winning score of 111 runs for the loss of two wickets in just 14.1 overs.

Parthiv Patel remained the highest scorer for the Kochi outfit with his 32 runs innings from 34 deliveries. He hit two boundaries in his knock.

RA Jadeja, who has hit few lusty blows against Kolkata Knight Riders was the second highest scorer in the match after Patel with his 22 runs from 23 deliveries before losing his wicket to Australian legend and RR skipper Shane Warne.

Both Shane Warne and Siddharth Trivedi destroyed the KTK line up as both picked up three wickets each in the game.

Chasing the target of 110 for victory, RR openers gave their side the best possible start with both Rahul Dravid (44) and SR Watson (49) contributing well with their bat.

While Dravid was the first to get out in the 10.4 over of the innings with RR standing at 71 for the loss of one wicket.

S.Watson missed his half century by one run as his wicket was picked up by spinner R.Jadeja in the 13.5 over of the innings.

J Botha (14*) and R Taylor (2*) remained unbeaten at the crease as they ensured an easy victory for their side at the end of the game.

Warne was declared the ‘Man of the Match’ for his smart bowling in the match that cruised his side to victory.
